And the ADDY Went To ...

The Montgomery Advertising Federation celebrated the area’s best in advertising during its 47th Annual MAF ADDY® Awards Saturday, February 10 at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.  This annual reception and awards presentation was attended by individuals of the local advertising and media businesses, and were entertained by Tonya Terry from WSFA.
 
Of the 200+ entries received by MAF, 32 gold ADDY® awards and 83 silver ADDY® awards were presented to the professionals, while 7 gold ADDY® awards and 7 silver ADDY® awards were presented to participating students. Participating professionals include: Auburn University, Auburn Montgomery, bainedesignworks, Civil Air Patrol, Copperwing Design, Colonial Bank, Cunningham Group, <<dti.troy>>Troy University, Frazer UMC, LWT Communications, LWT|KBK New Media, McClinton & Company, Oneway Studio, Poppy Seed Design, and Square Root Solutions. Participating schools include Auburn University Montgomery and Troy University.
 
Top awards of the evening went to the “Best in Show” and individual winners:

  • LWT Communications captured the Print Best in Show for its "Now It's Clear" Brochure
  • Square Root Solutions garnered the Interactive Best in Show for the Eagle's Nest Web Site
  • LWT Communications received Best of No-Show for "Off the Hook"
  • LWT Communications and LWT/KBK were honored with a Judges' Choice award
  • Blu Gilliand of Copperwing Design was named Copywriter of the Year
  • Camille Leonard, Art Director for LWT Communications was named Designer of the Year

In the student division, AUM student Jennifer Wiggins received the Student Interactive Best in Show award for her Adobe Software Promo CD.  Grant Johnson, a student at <<dti.troy>>, secured the Student Print Best in Show award for the New Mountain Dew Product Ad and took home the Student Designer of the Year award.
