Montgomery Advertising Federation Announces Name Change
Montgomery, Ala – The Montgomery Advertising Federation, a local chapter of the national trade association American Advertising Federation (AAF), will officially change its name to AAF – Montgomery beginning July 1. This change is part of a voluntary, national movement to increase brand awareness at the local chapter level.
"Although our name has changed, the club is still dedicated to protecting and promoting the well-being of the advertising industry in the River Region," explained Marla Ruskin, incoming AAF – Montgomery president. "By leveraging the AAF brand, our local club can attract bigger speakers, increase fundraising and capitalize on larger sponsorships for special events like our annual ADDY® Awards."
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the AAF acts as the "Unifying Voice for Advertising" and is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 50,000 professionals in the advertising industry. There are over 210 ad clubs across the United States. These local clubs are divided into three regions then further divided into one of 15 districts.
As the local chapter of the AAF, the AAF - Montgomery is part of the Eastern region and located in District 7. Membership includes a variety of businesses that are directly or indirectly connected to the advertising industry.
